Using Your RxSaveCard for Weight Management Medications

Your employer is committed to supporting your health goals by providing funds toward your purchase of eligible GLP-1 weight loss medications!

How does my RxSaveCard work?

Your RxSaveCard is a virtual payment method that gives you access to your employer’s funds in order to purchase GLP-1 medications at direct, cash prices—without going through insurance. When checking out at one of the approved online pharmacies, you’ll enter your RxSaveCard details (Card Number, Expiration Date, Security Code) like any other credit or debit card. Follow the instructions below to get started.

Talk to Your Provider

If you get prescribed one of the weight loss medications included in your program, tell your provider which of the eligible pharmacies you'd like them to send it to. Visit the pharmacy's website for more prescribing details if needed.

Wait for Confirmation

You'll receive a notification (email or text) when your prescription has been received by the pharmacy. Follow any setup instructions they provide. This typically happens within 24-48 hours.

Activate Your RxSaveCard (First Time Only)

If this is your first time using the program, you'll receive a separate email with instructions to activate your RxSaveCard account. Activation gives you access to your virtual card, which is loaded with your employer's funds for your medication.

Already activated?
Log in to your RxSaveCard Member Dashboard to confirm your employer funds are loaded on your card and ready to use. You can add personal funds if needed to cover any additional costs.

Pay with Your RxSaveCard

When the pharmacy notifies you that your prescription is ready for checkout, enter your RxSaveCard information (Card Number, Expiration Date, Security Code) as the payment method. The billing zip code should match what you used when setting up your RxSaveCard account.

Your Medication is Delivered to You!

Your medication ships directly to your door—no pharmacy trip needed! Delivery timeframes vary by pharmacy, so check your order confirmation for estimated arrival.

What to Expect Each Month:

Employer Funds Reset Monthly

Your available employer funds reset on the 1st of each month. Unused funds from the previous month do not roll over, so plan your medication purchases accordingly.

Plan Ahead for Home Delivery

This program includes free delivery only—no in-store pickup is available. Plan ahead and order your medication before you run out, as delivery times vary by pharmacy.

Return to Your Dashboard

Depending on your program, you may need to take action in your Dashboard prior to each new purchase. This is also where you'll go to access your card details (if you haven't saved them elsewhere).

This program requires you to order directly from one of the approved online pharmacies with home delivery. RxSaveCard is a virtual card that cannot be used for in-store pharmacy purchases, although the manufacturer sites may list it as an option.

Funds are available on the first of each month. Unused employer funds do not roll over to the next month, so be sure to use your available funds before the end of each month. Depending on your program, you may need to return to your Member Dashboard prior to each purchase before these funds can be accessed with your card.

The available online pharmacy options do not support split-tender transactions, so if the checkout total is greater than your employer contribution amount, your personal funds will need to be consolidated onto your RxSaveCard first along with your employer funds. Then your RxSaveCard will have sufficient funds and can be used as your single payment method at the pharmacy checkout.

Only the employee needs to have an active RxSaveCard. The payment information can be used to purchase the approved weight loss medications for covered dependents as well if allowed by your employer.

We recommend allowing about a week for your doctor to send your script, the order to process, and the purchase and delivery to be complete. Shipping times vary between pharmacies.

Yes. Weight loss medications are eligible health care expenses for the FSA and HSA. However, you should plan to pay for your portion of the cost with a personal debit card, credit card or via electronic payment from your bank account (ACH), then seek reimbursement from your FSA or HSA. Once your pharmacy transaction has settled, you can click “Generate Receipt” where it appears on your dashboard in your transaction history. We do not recommend linking your FSA or HSA debit card directly to your RxSaveCard account because it may result in denied claims or other processing issues.

No, RxSaveCard does not offer reimbursements. You must use your RxSaveCard as the payment method at checkout when ordering online. If your RxSaveCard balance isn’t enough to cover your purchase, you’ll need to add personal funds to your RxSaveCard before completing your order.

During account activation, the information you provide goes through an identity verification step that checks against bank records. This is required for bank regulation purposes since you’re getting access to a debit card. This is NOT a credit check and will not impact your credit score in any way – it’s simply to confirm your identity.

If there are no discrepancies, your account will be automatically approved within 15 minutes. In some cases, discrepancies may require manual review, which can take 1-2 business days. If additional documentation is needed to confirm your identity, you’ll receive a notification via email along with in your Member Dashboard.
